Online: English Conversation B2 - Talking about Language(s)
If you are on a good intermediate level (B2) and want to learn about language and differences between German, English and other languages and talk about such topics, this is the right course for you. In 10 meetings, the instructor, Prof. Dr. Joachim Grzega (head of VHS Donauwörth’s project unit “Innovative Europäische Sprachlehre (InES)”), will present one aspect of language for about 10 minutes (functions of language, words, sounds, grammar, conversational strategies, dialects, language history, language learning). Then there will be about 30 minutes for additional questions and for prepared discussion activities. The remaining time will be reserved to correct recurring language problems among participants. Knowing about language differences is also an ideal topic for “small talk”. So use this class to become a better communicator in your next private or professional conversation.
